Training for water users in the commune of Bouhlou
As part of the Restore Bouhlou 1 project, AESVT Taza organised a training workshop for water users in the commune of Bouhlou, to raise their awareness of the preservation of water resources and the protection of the Bouhlou river.
The action highlights the importance of responsible water use, pollution prevention and the preservation of aquatic ecosystems. Water quality is essential to sustaining local biodiversity, in particular the survival of the Moroccan mussel (Margaritifera marocana), a highly threatened species endemic to Morocco.
The involvement of water users is essential to encourage sustainable practices and the collective management of this natural resource. Sharing knowledge and raising awareness strengthen their role in protecting the aquatic environment.
Through this workshop, the Restore Bouhlou 1 project encourages local stakeholders to commit to sustainable water management and to preserving the natural heritage of Bouhlou.
